Beck Isle Museum Gains National Quality Standard.
Beck Isle Museum in Pickering has just been officially 'Accredited by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA).
The museum which opened in 1967, is a registered charity and run by volunteers. It houses wonderful collections of the local life and social history of Pickering Vale,including the regionally important Sydney Smith photographic collection. Housed in a fine Grade II* listed building the organisation which has around 140 volunteers continues to shine.
